The new information is published by the XDA website, which had access to an internal version of the Google device camera app. One of the characteristics discovered was the “magic gum”. Although no one can understand what this functionality actually does, it appears to be a post-processing effect, due to the fact that it is “sped up” by the Tensor processor.

Experts argue that the “magic eraser” may be the company’s long-advertised object removal tool, but it didn’t come to the dismay of all users. Another advanced hypothesis is that this function can be used to eliminate reflections or small objects in the background of the image.

4K recording on Pixel 6 Pro

The XDA website also revealed that the Pixel 6 Pro will be able to record 4K video at 60 frames per second. But apparently only with the main 50 megapixel camera. The remaining 48 megapixel 12 MP rear cameras, as well as the 12 MP front camera, are limited to 4K recording at 30 frames per second.

In addition, the zoom seems to have been improved and the Pixel 6 Pro, in 4K 60fps recording, can offer a 7x zoom; the PIxel 5 model integrates a 5x zoom.

According to the same source, the Pixel 6 Pro may be equipped with a Sony IMX663 front sensor that can be connected to an ultra-wide angle lens. This means an increase in image quality for group selfies.
