Google today presented its new top-of-the-range Android line starring the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. There are several new features in its hardware, but it is in the software where one of the most interesting emerges.
It’s called Magic Eraser and it’s a tool that will allow you to remove objects or people from any photograph. It should be noted that this will be done after the photo is taken and that it is not necessary to capture it with a Google Pixel 6.

Who has never taken that photo with a perfect setting, but just ruined by the presence of a stranger in the background? That kind of disappointment will no longer be a problem with the introduction of Magic Eraser.
This image editing tool will depend heavily on Artificial Intelligence and certainly the new chip Tensor. It’s further proof that Google can do amazing things with its software.
Any photo you have in Google Photos can enjoy the benefits of Magic Eraser, even if it has been around for decades. This means that it will be possible to edit photos taken with another smartphone through this tool.
Once the photo in question is opened, you will be presented with some suggestions for deletion. Google and its Artificial Intelligence will predict what users will want to get rid of.
You can accept Google’s proposals or just select the object or person you want to remove from the photo. From there, Artificial Intelligence comes into action again to fill the background with what should be in that place.
Google presented the example above to demonstrate the potential of Magic Eraser. According to the American company, it is a photograph with more than 20 years, which illustrates that the age of the image will not be a problem.
For now, this is an exclusive tool for the Google Pixel 6 and PIxel 6 Pro. Considering its dependence on the Tensor processor, it seems unlikely that it will be available for other devices, including the Pixel.
