In May, the design of the Google Pixel 6 series was fully unveiled and stunned the world with an unconventional look.
Today, the full specs of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have been leaked, and some details might surprise you as well.
New specs on the upcoming Google Pixel 6 series have been revealed by Jon Prosser, known for his Front Page Tech channel. He is also the person behind the original design leaks.
The Google Pixel 6 will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. The rear camera configuration will include a 50M wide-angle camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera will be located in a punch hole and will have an 8MP sensor.
The Pixel 6 will have 8GB of memory and 128/256GB storage options and will run Android 12 from day one. Battery capacity is estimated at 4,614mAh.
The processor remains a mystery, but Jon Prosser confirms that the two Pixel 6 devices will be powered by Google’s custom chipset. In addition, they will have WiFi 6E, 5G support, and be AER (Android Enterprise Recommended) certified.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro will have similar specs, with a 6.71-inch OLED display, the same Google chipset, and 12GB of RAM. Storage options will be 128, 256, and 512GB.
The camera configuration for the Pro model will include a 50MP wide-angle sensor, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It will also run Android 12 from day one and will have a 5,000 mAh battery.
Prosser also mentioned that “Google agrees to at least 5 years of software updates for these two devices, which would make Google the first company to commit to such a long time.
The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are due for release in October, later this year.
