Google recently launched its latest smartphone in the series pixel – The Google Pixel 5a. The phone comes as a successor to the Pixel 4a released last year with an updated spec sheet, but a slightly higher price than its predecessor.
The device is equipped by a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Even with such powerful specs, the phone is not capable of handling 4K video recording.
However, according to recent information, when recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second, the smartphone Google Pixel 5a gets overheated. During filming, the phone asks users to close the camera until temperatures return to a more reasonable level.
In a tweet, TechOdyssey complained that its Pixel 5a it only took a few minutes to overheat while recording video at the highest possible settings, before displaying this message on the screen: “The device is too hot. Close the camera until the device cools down.”
He also adds that he is also facing the same problem with 4K at 30fps and 1080P at 30fps. Another user of Twitter with the name @LadyRedsTekRvw said your Pixel 5a did the same thing after about 2 minutes of recording at 4K 60fps.
Apparently the Pixel 5a is not the only recent smartphone of the Google facing this problem and some users are reporting that the Pixel 5 is also having the same problem, like confirmed by Android Police. Until now, the Google did not recognize the problem and it remains to be seen if and when the company plans to fix it.’

Google Pixel 5a has a 6.34 inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It comes with a dual-camera rear-facing configuration consisting of a 12.2 megapixel main sensor and a 16 megapixel ultrawide rear camera. For selfies, there is an 8 megapixel front camera.
