While Google is due to unveil its next mid-range smartphone on August 26, its components have already been located at a third-party repairer, confirming the device’s imminent arrival.
We know that Google has been preparing to release a new Pixel 5a since February, where we were able to discover the first smartphone renderings thanks to the OnLeaks leaker. Since then, there has been no lack of information about it, as Google itself had wrongly disclosed the camera’s technical file.
Photos stolen from a third-party retailer once again confirm the imminent arrival of the smartphone, which looks a lot like last year’s Pixel 4a 5G. The most notable difference in design would be a ribbed on/off switch on the side.. We also take a look at the battery, although its capacity hasn’t been disclosed.
What do we know about Pixel 5a?
Even though the Pixel 5a hasn’t been officially unveiled by Google, we already know everything about the smartphone thanks to the leaker Jon Prosser. In fact, at the beginning of the month, she had released the smartphone’s technical sheet.
Pixel 5a will be powered by a 765G Snapdragon, like the Pixel 5, and the chip will support 6GB of storage. Up front, we’ll find a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 90 Hz maximum refresh rate. The device would be powered by a 4650 mAh battery, the largest capacity on a Pixel smartphone to date.
We also know that Pixel 5a will offer a 3.5mm connectorunlike most smartphones these days. Finally, Jon Prosser revealed that he would be sold to 450 dollars, which is $50 less than the Pixel 4a 5G at launch.
Unfortunately for us, the Pixel 5a would not be available in France as it will only be available in two countries on August 26th: the United States and Japan. If you want to get a new device from Google, you’ll have to wait until fall. The American giant will officially launch the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, of which the first information has already been revealed.
