Google messages with 2 new features that will greatly improve the app

Many Android smartphone users prefer the Google Messages app for sending text messages. Especially since they can work with Rich Communications Service (RCS).

This means that when users enable this feature, they can use advanced features in messages. This allows sending, in addition to text, images, videos, sound or other content.

React to messages with any emoji

To improve responsiveness in the app, Google is testing a feature we already see in many of the competitors. It is the possibility of reacting to messages with any emoji.

Remember that this is a possibility since 2020. But users are limited to a selection of 7 emojis. This discovery by 9to5Google shows that the recipient will see the emoji, even if they don’t have the feature active.

audio transcription

Sending audios is already a possibility in Google messages. But another of the discoveries of this source shows that the next step is the possibility for users to transcribe the received audio.

It is not always the best time to listen to an audio, since you may not be available to do so. And this transcript may be the best way to listen to them in the future.
