Google launches tools to save on online purchases

Google is adding new features to make it easier for users to find discounts. The tech giant has a page dedicated to offers in searchwhile Chrome searches for codes and provides product pricing information.

The New Deals search results page is designed to help you find items that are on sale across the internet in one place. This is how promotions are displayed in categories such as clothing, electronics, toys and beauty. On the other hand, you can find discounts at different types of retailers including big box stores, DTC brands, multi-brand luxury retailers, designer brands, and local stores.

Offers by category

To access this new page, You need to search for “Shop Deals”.. Users can scroll through offers by category and see the most popular stores related to what they are looking for. The customer can click on the item they are interested in or visit the retailer’s website to get more information. When you perform a specific search, You can search by category like “Sneaker Deals.”.

From now on, Chrome will show recently viewed products on “Continue Browsing” shopping pages when opening a new tab. Additionally, if we click on the new discount tag icon in the Chrome address bar, we can see all available coupon codes when we visit a product page on a shopping site.

Additionally, Google is focused on bringing pricing information that is already available in search to Chrome on the desktop. Once available on a company’s website, we’ll see a “Purchase Information” label in the Chrome address bar. If you click on it, you will see the price history of the last 90 days and the price range.

These new features are innovations over traditional product search methods. Another novelty is that the company makes it easier to configure price drop notifications for both Search and Chrome.
