Google “gives music” to Apple remembering the absence of a function in the iPhone

Google chose the social network Twitter to remind Apple of the lack of support for RCS messages on the iPhone.

It is not the first time that the search engine giant has criticized Apple for this fact, but this time it has opted for a creative and musical approach.

Google chose the social network Twitter to once again remind Apple of the lack of support for RCS messages. This is an old dispute between the two North American giants and it seems that it will continue, unless the Cupertino company gives in and includes this function in its line of smartphones.

This time around, Google has opted to get creative and musical, using Drake’s new song “Texts Go Green” from the artist’s “Nevermind” album, accompanying the message that only Apple can fix the RCS messages issue on iPhone.

When an iPhone user receives a message from another iPhone, the text appears in a blue ball. But everything changes when it comes to exchanging messages between the Android and iOS universes. All because messages coming from Android appear in a green ball and use a less reliable SMS protocol.

Lack of RCS messaging support also hurts iOS users

And that is why the two American companies exchange arguments from time to time. Google also draws attention to the fact that the lack of support for RCS messages harms iOS users, since this means that the messages exchanged between terminals of one operating system and another are not end-to-end encrypted.

With the integration of the RCS protocol, the messages would already be encrypted in this more secure way and no one would run unnecessary risks. At the moment Google has not been successful in its requests and Apple continues to insist on its iMessage service.
