Good news for Oman and Emirati citizens

After the borders were opened in the Sultanate of Oman, the land barrier was also opened with the UAE.

According to the Emirati media, the opening of the land border between Oman and the UAE has started the flow of citizens.

Citizens entering the UAE for the first time after the closure were welcomed at the borders and presented with flowers.

Authorities on Monday issued travel instructions to the UAE, making it clear that people who do not have Oman citizenship can enter the UAE by e-visit visa by land.

The Sultanate of Oman had said that only those who have been vaccinated against corona will be allowed to enter the country. People who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to enter the country under any circumstances.

The government has taken this decision to prevent the spread of the corona virus, the official statement said. The Sultanate of Oman has made it clear that this ban will apply to citizens of all countries and no country will be exempt from it.

It may be recalled that the partial lockdown has been lifted in Oman. The High Committee for Combating Epidemic in Oman said that all government and private institutions have been allowed to function as usual from September 1.

According to Omani TV, it has also been decided to lift the ban on shopping malls, restaurants, cultural and commercial establishments, social programs and sports.

Oman has partially extended the lockdown, and the High Committee has also decided to reopen schools in the Sultanate of Oman in accordance with the prescribed procedure on the arrival of the new academic year.

The Sultanate of Oman, while lifting the Karuna ban, has also stressed that the ban on Karuna SOPs will remain in place, not to be neglected by local citizens and resident foreigners.
