The Spaniard Gonzalo Serrano (Movistar) will undergo surgery for a fracture in his left elbow product of the fall he suffered last Wednesday during the dispute of the Belgian classic Bruges-De Panne.
The 27-year-old cyclist from Madrid was one of the Movistar runners who were involved in the falls of the race that takes place on the Belgian North Coast, with a result that will force him to go through the operating room once he returns to Spain this Thursday.
“Gonzalo Serrano’s fall has resulted in a fracture of the olecranon in his left elbow. He will be treated surgically in Spain, where he will return this Thursday. Much encouragement and that you recover soon!”, Says the Movistar team on Twitter.
