In an Indian state, security forces have recovered gold worth crores of rupees from the bottom of a pond.
According to Indian media reports, security forces searched a pond in Kalyani Chowk area of West Bengal’s Nadia district on a tip-off, and recovered several gold biscuits from its bottom.
Officials say that 40 gold biscuits have been recovered from the pond, the value of which is said to be more than 2.5 crore Indian rupees, while the value in Pakistani currency is more than 8 crore rupees.
Officials say that a few months ago, when chasing one, he jumped into the pond, the smuggler was pulled out of the pond, nothing was found behind him, and he was released.
It was expected that he would take out the gold from the pond as soon as he got the attention of the concerned agencies, but before that, a tip-off was received from the wind and the BSF officials recovered the gold.
