Gmail: Are you losing emails because they go to spam?

One of the good things about Gmail is that Google has built a pretty robust spam filtering system that does a good job of keeping marketing emails out of your inbox.

However, it looks like Google has recently done some changes to the spam filter rules that ended up causing users to miss some emails.

According to several publications in google community, Gmail is now filtering out legitimate emails.

Users are facing issues where they had to mark emails as not spam but for some reason, Gmail still considers them as spam anyway.

Kirk McElhearn gave some advice to set up your Gmail accounts and make sure that doesn’t happen, but these aren’t things the average user would know. This can be a problem for users who stop receiving emails they should.

Google has a help document It shows users some of the things they can change in their settings to avoid this problem; so if you notice that more emails than usual are going to your folder, you might want to take a look.

Also, don’t forget to check your spam folder just in case.
