Globoplay: Netflix’s new rival already has a date to arrive in Portugal

Get ready for the arrival of another platform transmission to Portugal. Globoplay, owned by the Brazilian channel Globo, arrives in our country the next day October 14th with many new features for fans of its content.

“Original series, classic and unpublished novels, films, documentaries, sports, journalism, reality shows and varieties are some of the content that will be available on Globoplay from the 14th,” the platform wrote in a statement.

This is affirmed as a new way of consuming the contents of the Brazilian platform. And in addition to your catalog On demand (delayed), subscribers will have access to six linear channels: TV Globo, Multishow, GloboNews, GNT, Premiere and VIVA.

As can be read in the statement, users will be able to use the platform on their smartphone, tablet, Smart TV or computer. An interesting detail is that fans will be able to “see a selected offer of new soap operas simultaneously with those from Brazil.”

“We are very happy to finally introduce Globoplay to the Portuguese. We already have a strong connection with our audience because of the stories we have told together over so many years in the country. Globoplay is here to bring a new experience to this audience ”, says Raphael Corrêa Netto, Globo’s Director of International Business.

This streaming platform is not only available in Brazil, but it also arrived in the United States in 2020. In October it landed in Portugal and other European countries “towards the consolidation of the brand abroad”.
