Adam Scaife, head of long-term weather forecasting at the UK Met Office, said there was a 66 per cent chance of a 1.5 per cent rise in temperatures by 2027. This is the first time in history that we are so close to a 1.5 percent increase in warming.

Last year it was said that the risk of global warming is 50-50. Part of the warming is due to the El NiƱo weather pattern. This pattern is expected to develop in the next few months.
