Glenn Phillips did the work that the ICC completely banned; Know what action happened next

The first match of the two-Test series between New Zealand and Bangladesh will be played in Sylhet these days. On the third day of the match, New Zealander Glenn Phillips was caught doing something that has already been completely banned by the International Cricket Council. In fact, on matchday three, Glenn Phillips was seen applying saliva to the ball, which was permanently banned.

During the Corona period, the ICC temporarily banned salivating as a precaution. But then the ICC imposed a completely permanent ban on saliva. But now Glenn Phillips has been seen salivating at the ball. Phillips used saliva on the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh.

When Phillips came to bowl against Nazmul Hussain Shanto in the 34th over after starting the over, he smeared the ball with saliva not once but twice before the second ball. After the saliva ban, players often use the sweat on their faces to make the ball shine.

The referees present on the field did not take action against Phillips after he applied his saliva. Ehsan Raza and Paul Reiffel were on-field referees at the time of the incident. According to ESPNcricinfo, the ICC refused to speak on the matter. It was further said that issues arising on the pitch will be resolved by the match officials.
