Gio Simeone and his love for Maradona: "I just wanted to play in Napoli"

Giovanni Simeone had a goal for his career, and he was able to fulfill it: out of love for Diego Maradona and everything he represents, the Argentine striker wanted to reach Napoli, a dream that came true. “I only wanted to play in Napoli”, his brand new club, despite receiving offers from other teams, due to what it represents for an Argentine footballer “get to where Diego played”.

I always wanted something like this, even more so knowing that my compatriots did well in Napoli”, he remarked during the interview published on the club’s social networks.
