Gill Reveals Reasons Behind Gujarat’s Eliminator Loss to Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians took down Gujarat Titans by 20 runs in a nail-biting eliminator match. Gujarat’s captain, Shubman Gill, shared his thoughts on the loss. He said that dropping three consecutive catches doesn’t help the bowlers, making it tough for them to control the game.

Gill called it a great game of cricket, saying his team played well. However, the last few overs didn’t go their way. He admitted that after dropping those catches, it’s hard for the bowlers to stay on top of their game.

When Gujarat batted, Gill said their goal was simple: play their game and win. He told Sai Sudharsan and Washington the same thing. Their only aim was to take the match home. Gill praised his players, especially Sai, for their performances throughout the season. He thought chasing 210 runs on that pitch was doable.

Mumbai Indians won and moved on to the second qualifier. They’ll face off against Punjab Kings, led by Shreyas Iyer. The winner of that match will go up against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
