Gigabyte surprised by unveiling a new kind of gaming chair on Twitter. Indeed, it is inflatable. If the innovation is already quite improbable in itself, the project falls completely to the water when one dwells a little bit on its design. From any point of view, you really cannot say that it is a success.
Until now, Gigabyte has been content to offer relatively classic gaming chairs for the industry. But that was before the enlightenment of the Research and Development department, which obviously found a brilliant idea. What do gamers crave the most? An inflatable seat of course. More seriously, we imagine that the manufacturer wanted to create a small revolution in the world of gaming. Without a bad pun, this innovation is a bit lacking in breath.
Let’s start with what is obvious. The armchair has a dubious design to say the least – and that’s a huge understatement. If we indeed find some codes of the gaming universe, which Gigabyte happily targets with subtle hashtags like #gaminglife, #Setup # or even #sofa (this one, we don’t explain it too much), there is a safe bet that many do not plan to integrate it into their decoration.

Gigabyte creates a (bad) surprise with its inflatable gaming chair
Yet at first glance, the idea is not so bad. Although it puts aside the PC players by the size of the chair, we imagine that the latter costs much less than a classic seat or even a sofa for living room console holders. But this is where Gigabyte’s mistake is: think that the players of living room would be less straddling the design of their setup.
Just imagine placing the armchair in its interior for a few seconds to realize that it will be very difficult to match it with the rest of its furniture. Below the tweet, a user even allows himself to invite Gigabyte “Rather pass [leur] to manufacture products which do not explode “, with reference to recent problems encountered by power supplies of the firm. No, really, even Burger King did better with its own gaming chair.
