Giants rout Royals, Doval saves, Santana goes 2-for-4

Logan Webb pitched seven shutout innings on five-hit ball, and the San Francisco Giants extended their winning streak to five with a 4-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night.

Webb (6-2) got his first win in a month after striking out a season-high nine and giving up three walks. He was 0-1 in five starts since his May 13 victory over St. Louis.

Camilo Doval pitched the ninth inning for his ninth save in 11 chances. Kris Bubic (0-4), still winless after eight starts, gave up three runs, five hits and two passes on balls in 5 1/3 innings.

San Francisco took a 3-0 lead in the sixth: Luis Gonzalez doubled and scored on Wilmer Flores’ single; Darin Ruf had an RBI single and Tommy La Stella hit the first of his two sacrifice flies.

For the Royals, the Venezuelan Salvador Pérez 4-1, with one produced. Dominican Carlos Santana 3-2.

For the Giants, the Venezuelans Wilmer Flores 2-1, with a run scored and an RBI; Thairo Estrada 3-0. The Mexican Luis González 3-1, with a run scored.
