Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel pushed back to 2024

After the economic rout and the critical fiasco of the ghostbusters women of 2016, Jason Reitman brought back the ghostbusters originals in a sequel, Afterlifereleased at the end of 2021. A film that many will have appreciated and which naturally calls for a sequel where the original characters will make a handover with the new cast: McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Logan Kim, Celeste O’Connor, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd and William Atherton. In the first tendencies, it was notably foreseen that the hunter of ghosts played by Ernie Hudson would be predominant in the sequel.

The feature film was originally planned for the December 20, 2023. The new release date is set for March 29, 2024. Jason Reitman will leave the controls of the franchise to the filmmaker Gil Kenan (Poltergeist, Monster House).
