A three-year-old boy was found alone on the street in the German city of Stuttgart on Sunday night. A woman saw him sitting at a subway station. She alerted the police when she noticed that there was no parent or guardian around.
The boy was carrying a backpack with a lunch box. He told police he was on his way to his nursery. He could not say what his name was or where he lived. The police therefore placed him at the municipal childcare facility.
At 7:40 a.m., a woman who lives close to the subway station reported missing a place to stay. She had put him to bed at the same time as her own child on Saturday night. When she tried to wake the children the next day, the guest house was gone.
The woman and his mother collected the boy from the daycare together.
