UEFA has appointed German official Daniel Siebert to referee Tuesday’s Champions League match between Juventus and Sporting in Turin, a fixture carrying significant weight for both teams.
The announcement was made by UEFA today. Siebert, 41, has been an international referee since 2015.
He will be assisted by Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn. Christian Dingert will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), with Scotland’s Andrew Dallas as the Assistant VAR. Timo Gerach will be the fourth official.
This will mark Siebert’s third time officiating a match involving Sporting. He previously oversaw their 1-1 draw with Atalanta in the 2023/24 Europa League. He also refereed Sporting’s 4-1 victory over Manchester City in the 2024/25 Champions League.
The upcoming match is part of the Champions League league phase and represents the fourth round of competition.
Kick-off is scheduled for 9:00 PM local time on Tuesday evening in Turin.
Sporting currently sits 11th in the Champions League standings with six points from three games. Juventus is further down in 25th position, having accumulated only two points so far.
