Rodríguez and Ronaldo, who is 40, have been a couple for eight years. Their engagement became public news earlier in August. Georgina shared her joy on Instagram, posting a photo of the stunning gem. She captioned it simply, "Yes, I do. In this life and all my lives." It was a sweet moment for fans.
Cristiano Ronaldo certainly knows how to pick a ring. The design features a large oval-shaped diamond. Smaller stones flank it on a sleek silver band. Laura Taylor, a specialist in rings from Lorel Diamond, shared her thoughts on the piece with the entertainment publication Us Weekly. She called it an "extraordinary piece." Taylor estimated the oval-cut diamond to be between 15 and 20 carats. She pointed out that the "significant side diamonds" add even more sparkle. They also make the already impressive main stone look even bigger.
Taylor also added that if the diamond is natural and of top quality, with a D-F color and perfect clarity, its price could easily be over $2 million. Neil Dutta, the Managing Director of Angelic Diamonds, told Us Weekly that the ring itself is thought to weigh 30 carats. Dutta believes a ring of such quality would likely be worth between $3.7 million and $4.9 million. He noted it competes with some of the biggest celebrity engagement rings, like those seen on Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian. After eight years together, he said, it was certainly worth the wait.
Rodríguez and Ronaldo started dating in 2016. Since then, they’ve built a lovely, large family together. Ronaldo is a father to his son, Cristiano Jr., who is 15. The mother of Cristiano Jr. has never been publicly identified. Ronaldo later welcomed twins, Eva and Mateo, both 8, through a surrogate.
