Cristiano Ronaldo helped Juventus today to win on their 3-1 visit to Genoa in the Italian football Serie A, with the Portuguese striker, who completed his 100th game for ‘Juve’, scoring two penalty goals
In a game that seemed ‘blocked’, the Turin team only managed to reach the first goal in the 57th minute, by Argentine Paulo Dybala, but Sturaro drew for Genoa almost immediately, in the 61st.
After the tie, Juventus continued to struggle to beat goalkeeper Mattia PerÃn and only the 11-meter mark managed to solve the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo effective in the 78 and 89 minutes.
In the first, the penalty was awarded for penalizing foul on Quadrado and in the second for goalkeeper PerÃn over Morata, with Ronaldo resting his team and equaling Ibrahimovic in the lead of the best scorers, both with 10 goals.
The Swedish striker is injured and is low today in the game where AC Milan host Parma can strengthen the leadership in Serie A.
Juventus, on the other hand, occupies the fourth place, in equal points with Naples (3rd), while in second position follows Inter Milan. The Neapolitans beat Sampdoria today (2-1) and the Interistas triumphed at Cagliari’s (3-1).
Earlier, Paulo Fonseca’s Roma thrashed Bologna away, fixing the 5-1 result in the first half.
Roma had not scored five goals in the first half of a Serie A game since 1931. They had only scored twice in their history: against Livorno, in May 1931, and against Padua, in July 1930.
