Pakistan News: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been continuously attacking the new government after losing the chair. In between, he also sometimes targets Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Imran on Saturday condemned the approach of Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa to the US for help in getting loans from the IMF. Imran said that it is not the job of the Army Chief to deal with economic matters and his doing so only means that the country is weakening.
Pakistan on the verge of bankruptcy
Let us tell you that Pakistan’s state media had reported on Friday that Bajwa has approached the US to get a loan of $ 1.2 billion to Pakistan from the IMF i.e. International Monetary Fund soon. Pakistan is currently going through a liquidity crisis and due to the rapid decrease in foreign exchange reserves, the crisis of bankruptcy is looming on it. State news agency Associated Press of Pakistan, quoting Pakistani military sources, reported that Bajwa had spoken to US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman earlier this week over the phone.
‘No one trusts the government of Pakistan’
The APP had said in its news that Bajwa had also appealed to the White House and the US Treasury Ministry to pressurize the IMF to release a loan of $ 1.2 billion to Pakistan. As soon as this news came out, Imran Khan got a golden opportunity to attack the Shahbaz Sharif government. Targeting the government, he said that it shows that neither foreign governments nor IMF trust the government and that is why the army chief took this responsibility. If the army chief is contacting America and asking for help, it means that the country is weakening.
‘I removed that’s why I have to see this day’
Imran said that Pakistan’s national security may be compromised in return for the help Bajwa has sought from the US. Linking the current economic crisis with political instability, the former Prime Minister said that when his government was removed after a conspiracy, there was political instability which increased the economic crisis. Imran alleged that Donald Lu, assistant secretary in the Bureau of South and Central Asia in the US State Department, was involved in an international conspiracy to oust his government. However, the US has repeatedly denied Imran’s allegations.
