Microsoft just announced the official system requirements for the PC version of Gears of War: Reloaded. This remastered classic is scheduled to launch on August 26, 2025. The game boasts a complete visual package, making it accessible to a wide range of players.
Visual Features and Modern Technology Support
The remastered game features native 4K textures, improved post-processing, more realistic shadows and reflections, and supports HDR, Dolby Vision, and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos. It also eliminates loading screens during the campaign. For enhanced graphical performance, the game includes image reconstruction via NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 and AMD FSR 3.1 from day one. Additionally, it supports ultrawide monitors, VRR, and has a built-in benchmark mode.
Minimum and Recommended System Requirements
The system requirements are as follows:
- Operating System: Windows 10 (19H2) minimum, Windows 10 (22H2) or Windows 11 (24H2) recommended
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 (4 cores) or Intel i5 (Skylake) minimum, AMD Ryzen 5 (6 cores) or Intel i5 (Coffee Lake) recommended
- Memory: 8 GB RAM for both minimum and recommended
- Graphics Card: RX 480/RX 5300, GTX 1650/1050 Ti, or Intel Arc A380 minimum, RX 5600, GTX 1070/1660 Ti, or RTX 2070 recommended
- Storage: 70 GB free space for both minimum and recommended
- DirectX: Version 12 for both minimum and recommended
Although the remaster uses character models from the 2015 Ultimate Edition, which reduces visual gains, the performance and stability have been improved. Players can expect few frame drops on compatible systems. Recent beta experiences have shown smooth performance, with some reports of stutters caused by shader compilation, which should be fixed by launch.
Lançamento and Beta Version
A multiplayer beta started in June, accessible to those who pre-ordered digitally or subscribe to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. The beta includes modes like Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill. The final version will be available on August 26 through Steam, Microsoft Store, and PC Game Pass.
