Gautam Gambhir Receives ISIS Kashmir Threat After Condemning Pahalgam Terror Attack

Indian cricket head coach Gautam Gambhir has received a death threat from ISIS Kashmir, sending shockwaves through the cricket world. The threat came as India is still reeling from the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Gambhir has lodged an FIR with the Delhi Police and is seeking immediate security for himself and his family.

The Delhi Police’s cyber cell is actively investigating this case. Although no formal complaint has been filed, the police have confirmed that they are looking into the matter. Gambhir already has Delhi Police protection.

Two Threats on April 22

Gambhir received two threatening emails on April 22, one in the afternoon and another in the evening. Both messages simply read “I Kill You.” This is not the first time he has received such a threat; he got a similar email in November 2021 when he was an MP.

Gambhir was not the only one to condemn the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Many prominent cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav, have expressed their condolences to the victims. Virat Kohli took to social media to pray for those who lost their lives in the cowardly attack. Former cricketer Wriddhiman Saha said India should end all ties with Pakistan.

Gambhir’s experience has raised concerns about the safety of public figures in India. The country’s cricket community is standing together against terrorism, and the authorities are working to ensure their security.
