“Gauri is for taking drugs…”, the actress who was a victim of apartheid expressed her pain

: The journey to success was not easy for actress Kalki Kenkla (), who has worked in movies like ‘Dev D’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Recently, when talking about the difficult stage of her life, the actress said that people used to make fun of her for being white. Along with this, they also used to believe that she is so beautiful because of taking drugs.

Kalki recently shared his life experiences in an interview with Siddharth Alambayan on ‘The Male Feminist’ show. The actress said that when she saw her fair complexion, people used to believe that she was taking drugs. Not only this, due to my fair complexion, many questions about my character also arose. Because people believed that light-skinned girls had no character. But when I used to speak to her in Tamil, her attitude would change immediately.

In this interview, Kalki also talked about the couch casting. The actress herself said that she has become a victim of this. However, she did not name any director. The actress said that, in the initial phase, they offered me a role. Instead they told me to meet for dinner.

On the work front, Kalki will soon be seen working his acting magic in Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s web series ‘Made in Heaven 2’. This series will air on Prime Video India. In which many veteran actors like Shobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi play major roles along with Kalki.
