Gasoline: dates, beneficiaries… Everything you need to know about the 5 euros discount offered by Carrefour for each refueling

Faced with rising prices at the pump, several brands are offering little help for motorists. This is particularly the case of Carrefour, which is launching aid in the form of vouchers of five euros.

From this Wednesday, October 20 and until the end of the month, motorists will be able to receive five euros “in vouchers or on the customer’s loyalty card” usable in stores, announced the management of Carrefour, reports the Parisian. All customers who fill up more than 25 liters in one of the group’s service stations will be affected.

With a diesel price of 1.56 euros per liter, it would therefore be necessary to pay at least 39 euros to be able to benefit from this voucher, and a little more than 40 for the Super SP95 (1.63 € per liter).

Other brands, in particular the Leclerc group, have also implemented ad hoc measures to counter the explosion in fuel prices. Until October 30, the group led by Michel-Edouard Leclerc will sell gasoline at cost price, that is to say, without applying a margin for the distributor. The group is also committed to lowering prices in its service stations if the government were to reduce fuel taxes.

However the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, indicated Monday morning on Europe 1 that a reduction in the taxation of petroleum products was not envisaged by the government. By the end of the week, however, the executive should announce an aid device for the French, probably in the form of a fuel check.
