Garmin Forerunner 255 receives two new versions
The Garmin Forerunner 255 has just been spotted on some certification sites, suggesting that the brand could soon launch two new versions of one of the most popular sports smartwatches on the market.
The new model replaces the Garmin Forerunner 245 that was released three years ago. This smartwatch has gained popularity among runners for being very light and comfortable, providing long battery life, and being very accurate in tracking.
According to information now released, the new Forerunner 255 will come in two sizes, a standard 47mm version and a smaller 42mm version. But best of all, Garmin will offer two variants of this model. One of which will have Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity and the second, called Music, also adds a Wi-Fi connection.
The same information also advances the price of each of these variants. The standard model will then have an estimated cost of 350 euros while the Music variant with Wi-Fi is a little more expensive, it will cost 400 euros.
No further specifications were announced, but the brand is expected to introduce functional improvements, since the previous model has been on the market for three years and should undergo a major update.
Garmin Forerunner 955 has no release date
Unfortunately, no information is available on the long-awaited Garmin Forerunner 955. This running-oriented smartwatch was scheduled to arrive at the same time as the Forerunner 255.
However, the Forerunner 955 hasn’t been spotted on any certification websites, indicating that it won’t be launching anytime soon.
It is recalled that the new version of the triathlon specialist smart watch may have a variant with solar energy and that the model will integrate new functions such as the Morning Report. This feature includes a daily wake-up greeting, weather report, calendar, steps taken so far, and women’s health tracking.
