Ganna’s incredible comeback to avoid the fans in Tirreno

The dispute of the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico left us, in addition to the great victory of Jasper Philipsen after the great work in the sprint of Mathieu Van der Poel, A whole lesson from one of the great riders in the peloton: the Italian Filippo Gannacurrent leader of the general classification in the race.

In recent hours, a video of the spectacular comeback led by Ganna in the final kilometers has gone viral to avoid being surprised by the fan attempts of the Jumbo-Visma at the head of the peloton.

With 12 kilometers to go, Ganna was riding at the back of the peloton and, when the Jumbo-Visma began to push hard at the lead to try to break the group, the Italian staged a great comeback to go up positions in a peloton that rolled in single file.

That initial comeback didn’t give Ganna an initial link to the cut caused by the Jumbo-Visma. However, the ‘Giant of Verbania’ asserted his power to pull the groups that were chasing the cut made by the Jumbo-Visma to finally contact them again nine kilometers from the finish line and thus retain the lead and save that moment of tension. One more example of the power that Filippo Ganna displays every time he gets on a bike in the most adverse situations.
