Sourav Ganguly COVID update: BCCI president stable, says hospital

The condition of Sourav Ganguly, chairman of the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) and former captain of India, remains ‘stable’. The hospital where Ganguly is being treated gave this information on Wednesday.

Ganguly was admitted to the city hospital Monday night as a precautionary measure after the results of his RT-PCR test came back positive for COVID-19. Dr Rupali Basu, Managing Director and CEO of Woodlands Hospital, said: “BCCI President and former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has a stable (hygodynamically stable) heart rate on the second day of his hospitalization, he is fever free and it remains in the body without artificial support. The oxygen level remains at 99 percent. “

“He slept well last night and today he had breakfast and lunch,” he said.

Ganguly was given ‘monoclonal antibody cocktail therapy’ on Monday night. “The medical board is closely monitoring his health,” the statement said.

Ganguly has also been admitted to the hospital twice earlier this year and had undergone angioplasty. In the same year, his older brother Snehasish Ganguly also tested positive for Kovid.
