Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead in jail in Uttar Pradesh, India. The incident happened just a day after his son Asad Ahmed, 19, was killed by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force last Friday.
According to an NDTV report, gangster Atiq and his brother were being taken for a medical check-up on Saturday. At that time, miscreants fired at Atiq. The bullet hit him in the head and he died on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, after that the miscreants surrounded Atiq’s brother Ashraf and started firing. He also died on the spot. The video footage of the twin murders has already surfaced.
The news of Atiq’s death was told to the media by the gangster’s lawyer Vijay Mishra. He claimed that miscreants fired at Atiq from the crowd. However, lawyer Mishra did not clarify who is behind the incident.
Atiq was brought to Prayagraj Jail from Ahmedabad in Gujarat this month. The gangster claimed explosively that the Yogi state police were preparing to kill him in an encounter. In the end Atiq was shot dead by the miscreants in the presence of the police.
