Team India’s T20 Series Squad Against England Revealed
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Team India squad for the upcoming five-match T20 series against England, starting from January 22. The English team had already declared their squad for the T20 and ODI series. Notably, several players who were once considered future stars have been left out of the T20 series against England.
Players Dropped from the Squad
The Indian team last played a T20 series in South Africa, where fast bowler Avesh Khan, left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal, and middle-order batsman Ramandeep Singh were part of the team. However, all three players have been excluded from the T20 series against England.
New Additions to the Squad
Nitish Kumar Reddy has been included in the squad in place of Ramandeep Singh. Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana have replaced Avesh Khan and Yash Dayal, respectively. Surprisingly, Shubman Gill, who was recently appointed vice-captain, has not been included in the T20 series against England. Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also not part of the team. However, these players are expected to feature in the ODI series, as they will be participating in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
