Galatasaray Secures Victor Osimhen from Napoli for €75 Million

It looks like the long, drawn-out football soap opera of Victor Osimhen has finally found its happy ending. After weeks of twists, turns, and even some dark rumors, Galatasaray and Napoli have reportedly agreed on a deal for the star striker. According to the reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian goal machine is set to make Istanbul his permanent home. This move will cost Galatasaray a hefty €75 million.

The agreement is almost sealed. Galatasaray will pay €40 million upfront. The remaining €35 million will be paid by the summer of 2026. There’s also a fascinating condition. Galatasaray has agreed not to sell Osimhen to any other Italian club for the next two years. It’s a clear move to prevent him from coming back to haunt Napoli.

Remember, the 27-year-old forward was already lighting up the Turkish league last season. He played for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli. He was the main man, scoring an incredible 37 goals and providing seven assists in 40 games. It’s no wonder Galatasaray wanted him back and were ready to spend big money. He truly became the star of their show.

Osimhen had already made it clear he wanted to stay in Istanbul. He didn’t even show up for Napoli’s pre-season training. Instead, he presented a medical certificate. It was no surprise then that coach Antonio Conte left him out of the squad for their training camp in Dimaro, northern Italy. The writing was on the wall. Osimhen’s heart was clearly set on Galatasaray.

This wasn’t just tough talks. This negotiation dragged on for weeks. There were even some very strange controversies whispered, involving organized crime. But now, it seems the saga is over. Osimhen is heading back to where he thrived.
