GALA price rises 70% after collaboration with ‘The Rock’

Blockchain gaming company Gala Games has partnered with popular actors Dwayne Johnson, better known as ‘The Rock’, and Mark Wahlberg. The Rock and Walhberg are two very big names in the movie industry and have two separate movies in production for the ecosystem. In addition to the gaming platform, the Gala ecosystem also consists of ‘Gala Music’ and ‘Gala Films’.

Gala Films collaboration

In the announcement Gala Films said it is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Johnson and Wahlberg. It sees this as a way to get a large number of people to their blockchain.

GALA developers said the following about how blockchain can be applied in the film industry:

“Imagine going to a movie and there is a QR code on your ticket to redeem a digital item. Imagine that you are watching a movie on Netflix again and a QR code appears there as well. These are just some of the use cases. Integration with our games and our music is another very exciting prospect.”

However, the announcement from Gala Films, which was originally shared on Twitter, has been removed for unknown reasons.

Course GALA

Following the announcement, GALA’s share price rose by no less than 68%. In fact, it was the strongest climber of the past seven days, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Namely, it has risen by an astronomical 140% to a current price of $0.04244. Despite this significant increase, it is still 95% below its mark all time high from just above $0.82.

Earlier you could read in the Altcoin news that the price of Gala Games’ own token had fallen by 25% due to a hack. The private key of a pool with GALA tokens on PancakeSwap were stolen. This was because one of the programmers accidentally put the private key in a piece of programming language posted on Github.
