Gabby Petito: leaked boyfriend’s belongings found

The Gabby Petito murder case had a twist on Thursday, with the discovery in a Florida park of business belonging to her fiance, Brian Laundrie. The latter, not yet officially qualified as a suspect, has been missing for five weeks.

The park where the discovery was made is located near the young man’s family home, US media Fox News and CNN report. A forensic doctor, but also a canine unit, were dispatched to the site to try to find out more about what has become of him and to find his trace.

For their part, Brian Laundrie’s parents told authorities to go and find Myakkahatchee Creek Park, where their son intended to go hiking on September 13, the last day he was seen. This area had been searched for the first time by the police.

Brian Laundrie has been considered a “person of interest” since the discovery of Gabby Petito’s body on September 19 at a Wyoming campsite. The 22-year-old died from “manual strangulation”, the medical examiner said. The date of his death is said to date back to the end of August.

The two twenties had crossed the United States throughout the summer, sharing their experience on social networks. Brian Laundrie had returned alone on the 1er September. While the disappearance of his girlfriend had been declared, he was walled in silence, before disappearing almost two weeks later.
