Brazilian esports team FURIA clinched the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 title Sunday, executing a dramatic reverse sweep against Natus Vincere in the grand final.
The Brazilian squad, known as “The Panther,” overcame a two-map deficit to defeat NAVI 3-2 in the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament. The victory marks a significant achievement following a compelling comeback.
After dropping the first two maps, FURIA rallied to win three consecutive games. The decisive fifth map saw Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s team dominate with a 13-1 score.
Natus Vincere secured the first two maps: Mirage (13-6) and Inferno (13-9). FURIA then responded by taking Nuke (13-8), Dust2 (13-5), and finally Train (13-1) to claim the championship.

The final match, part of the Thunderpick World Championship 2025, began Sunday afternoon and extended through the evening.
In an earlier third-place match, The MongolZ secured third place, defeating Aurora Gaming in a best-of-three series. Aurora Gaming finished fourth in the tournament.
The MongolZ won two maps, Mirage (13-10) and Nuke (16-14), after Aurora Gaming took the first map, Inferno (16-14).
