Brazilian esports powerhouse FURIA has advanced to the grand final of the Thunderpick World Championship 2025, positioning themselves to secure their second Counter-Strike 2 title of the year and a share of the $500,000 prize pool.
FURIA secured their spot with a dominant 2-0 victory over Turkish squad Aurora in the semifinal on Saturday, October 18. The Brazilian team showcased strong form throughout the best-of-three series.
They took the first map, Train, with a 13-11 scoreline. Following this, FURIA swept Aurora on Overpass with a decisive 13-5 win, sealing their progression.
The performance of players Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato was particularly highlighted during the match.
The international Counter-Strike 2 championship initially featured eight teams. FURIA’s victory marks their presence in another significant final this year.
The grand final is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, at 3:00 PM UTC. FURIA will face the winner of the other semifinal, contested between The MongolZ and Natus Vincere, which was also played on Saturday.
The championship winner will claim the entirety of the $500,000 prize.
