FURIA Overhauls VALORANT Roster After Disappointing Stint in VCT Americas League

FURIA is shaking things up with a major overhaul of their VALORANT roster competing in the VCT Americas, Riot Games’ franchise league for the tactical FPS. After a rough start to the first stage, where they lost five games and didn’t secure a single win, the team decided to make some drastic changes.

The Panteras let go of players Ilan “havoc” Eloy, Leonardo “mwzera” Serrati, Luis “pryze” Henrique, Khalil “khalil” Schmidt, and Rafael “raafa” Lima, as well as coach Pedro “peu” Lopes. Olavo “heat” Marcelo is the only player staying on.

New Faces

According to reports, Luis “basic” Henrique, Arthur “tuyz” Vieira, and Victor “Urango” Rodrigues are joining the team. Ian “shaW” Jardim is taking over as the new coach. The final piece of the puzzle is expected to be Davi “Palla” Alcides, who is close to finalizing a deal with FURIA after playing for Stellae Gaming.

The projected lineup for the next stage of VCT Americas includes:

  • heat
  • basic
  • tuyz
  • Urango
  • Palla
  • shaW (coach)

The new squad is set to debut at VCT Americas – Stage 2, kicking off on July 18.
