Brazilian esports team FURIA clinched the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 in Counter-Strike 2, with star player Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato securing his first career Most Valuable Player award.
The international championship, which concluded last Sunday, saw FURIA dominate both the competition and the statistical rankings. Three players from the Brazilian roster were recognized among the tournament’s top eight performers.
Cerato, known by his in-game handle KSCERATO, earned the coveted MVP title for the first time. This achievement marks a significant milestone in his career, adding to his previous record of 22 Exceptionally Valuable Player (EVP) recognitions. He has also made four appearances in HLTV’s top 20 rankings and secured two trophies earlier this year.

Player performance in Counter-Strike 2 tournaments is increasingly evaluated using the new Rating 3.0 statistical system. This system combines economic adjustments with the Round Swing metric, which assesses the real impact of each kill within a round.
Rating 3.0 integrates six core sub-metrics to provide a comprehensive player assessment. These include Kills, Damage, Survival, KAST (Kill, Assist, Survive, Trade), Multi-Kills, and the crucial Round Swing. The Round Swing metric specifically measures how much each elimination alters a team’s victory probability in a round.
