Brazilian esports organization FURIA secured a dominant 2-0 victory over The MongolZ in the quarter-finals of the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Chengdu Counter-Strike 2 championship, advancing to the tournament’s semi-final round.
FURIA swept the best-of-three series, showcasing strong form at the international event held in Chengdu, China. The win positions the Brazilian squad to face Team Falcons in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The team demonstrated its prowess on its opponent’s map pick, Mirage, securing a decisive 13-5 victory. They then closed out the series on their own map choice, Overpass, with a 13-10 scoreline.
A notable contribution came from player Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, whose performance helped seal the victory.
