FURIA CEO Admits Frustration After VALORANT Team’s Poor VCT Performance

The FURIA VALORANT team just can’t catch a break. They lost to Leviatán 2-0 in the VCT Américas tournament, only managing nine rounds across two maps. This puts them at 0-3, basically eliminating them from playoff contention – and a shot at Masters Toronto.

FURIA’s founder, Jaime Pádua, took to social media to address the team’s struggles. He knows fans are furious, and honestly, he is too. “Our campaign in VCT is unacceptable,” he posted. “Everyone knows we need to improve.” Pádua admits the team’s planning hasn’t panned out, despite setbacks. “We’ll do everything to get back on track.”

This season, FURIA made some big changes. Rafael “raafa” Lima, Olavo “heat” Marcelo, and Luis “pryze” Henrique joined the team. Pedro “peu” Lopes also came on as part of the technical staff. But so far, it hasn’t been enough.

Pádua acknowledges the challenges of being a Brazilian team in the US – like visa issues. Still, he says the team’s struggles are on them. “We haven’t delivered what’s expected of an organization like FURIA.” His comments hint at potential changes to come.

Next up, FURIA faces Cloud9 on April 12. The match will stream on VALORANT Esports Brazil’s Twitch and YouTube channels. Will they be able to turn things around? Only time will tell.

What’s next for FURIA?

The team’s upcoming schedule:

  • April 12: vs. Cloud9, 18h (Brasília time)
  • Streamed on VALORANT Esports Brazil’s Twitch and YouTube

FURIA’s current standings:

The team is 0-3 in the VCT Américas tournament, with little chance of making the playoffs. Can they still salvage their season?
