FURIA #1, Legacy Top 10: Brazilian Teams Dominate Valve CS2 Ranking

Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 teams have surged in Valve’s global rankings, with FURIA claiming the top spot and Legacy entering the top ten, marking a significant moment for the nation’s esports presence.

FURIA ascended to the coveted first position in the latest Valve ranking, achieving 1943 points. This marks a notable improvement from its previous second-place standing, where it trailed only the French team Vitality.

Just last week, on October 21, FURIA held 1924 points, while Vitality led with 1928 points.

Meanwhile, Legacy has climbed three places to secure the 10th spot globally. The team was previously ranked 13th.

FURIA and Legacy are currently the only Brazilian organizations featured within the top ten of Valve’s global rankings for CS2.

Legacy, led by Gabriel “falleN” Toledo, recently won the Thunderpick World Championship 2023. The team is now competing in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2023.

In Bucharest, Legacy has secured two victories and requires one more series win to advance to the playoffs. The team is scheduled to return to competition on Wednesday, October 29, in the early afternoon UTC.

Looking ahead, Legacy has two more major tournaments on its schedule. The team will participate in IEM Chengdu 2023, which begins on November 2. Following this, they are set to compete in BLAST Rivals 2023 Season 2, commencing on November 12.
