Rajat Patidar has been included in the Indian squad for the second Test against England. Patidar has joined Team India as a replacement. But there came a time when Patidar got frustrated with his injury. But he shared that returning from injury and arriving in Wulaawa for the Test for the first time was the greatest moment of happiness for him. Patidar performed a miracle in a year.
BCCI shared a video on social media in which Patidar expressed his feelings. He also spoke about injuries and learning from captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli. At the beginning of the video, Patidar said, “The time of injury is difficult for every player. At the time, I thought that the time needed for recovery could not be changed. I accepted that and considered myself present. I focused on what I could do given the time. Coming back from injury and getting my first Test call was a very happy moment for me because it was my first dream to represent the country in the Test.
He further said, “I haven’t spoken to Rohit Bhai that much about what happened after this tour. There was talk about hitting. He shared his experiences online. When you do all these things, you gain confidence.” Patidar further said that his batting style is aggressive.
Rajat Patidar, who played for RCB in the IPL, spoke about the influence of Virat Kohli. He said: “I always watch his batting. I watch him from the back of the nets. I particularly like his footwork when the ball arrives and his body movements when hitting. I try to integrate these things into myself. It does. “It’s not that quick, I’m just trying.”
