Francisco Cabral Wins Bordeaux Challenger 175, Claims 15th Career ATP Challenger Title

Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler are on a roll. The Portuguese-Austrian duo just won the ATP Challenger 175 doubles title in Bordeaux. This is Cabral’s second title with Miedler and his 15th Challenger doubles crown. Their win came against Yuki Bhambri and Robert Galloway, the tournament’s second seeds, with a score of 7/6 (7-1) and 7/6 (7-2) in 1 hour and 46 minutes.

Strong Partnership

Cabral and Miedler have been playing together since late March, and their partnership is proving to be a successful one. They’ve made it to four consecutive finals, with two titles under their belt – the Madrid Challenger and now Bordeaux. They were runners-up at the Estoril Open and Oeiras Open 4. Their only loss together was in the first round of the Marrakech ATP 250.

Cabral’s Achievements

The 28-year-old from Porto now has 15 Challenger doubles titles. He’s also won two ATP doubles titles – at the Estoril Open with Nuno Borges and in Gstaad with Tomislav Brkic, both in 2022. Cabral is now the third-best Portuguese player in terms of Challenger doubles titles. João Cunha e Silva leads with 24 titles, followed by Nuno Marques with 19.
