
Four people were killed in an Israeli attack in Jenin in the occupied Palestinian West Bank. Among them, three Palestinians were killed in an airstrike and in another incident, another Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces in the city of Ramallah. Residents and officials said many people were injured in the airstrikes. Al-Jazeera news
Local residents say at least 10 missiles were fired on Monday morning. Many houses were destroyed and smoke still billows from the rubble.
Mahmoud al-Saadi, director of the Palestine Red Crescent, said the bomb was dropped from the plane in Jenin – it looks like the war has started on the ground.
He further said that many houses were bombed and the entire area was shrouded in smoke.
At least three people were killed and 13 wounded in the Israeli attack, the Palestinian health minister said. Many of the injured are in critical condition.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on the other hand, said they were attacking ‘terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin area’. The Palestinians have called the camp a ‘terrorist base’ and said, ‘We will not stand idly by when terrorists use the Jenin camp as a hideout and try to harm civilians.’
