Former Pakistan player got angry after seeing empty stands in India-Pakistan match, wrote this about fans

Whenever the teams from India and Pakistan compete against each other on the cricket field, the stadium seems completely full. However, a completely opposite scene was seen at the R-Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the Super 4 of the 2023 Asia Cup. Despite the India-Pakistan match, most of the stands in the stadium appeared to be completely empty. Now, former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has not only expressed his displeasure on Twitter but also asked an important question to the Asian Cricket Council.

Although the Pakistan Cricket Board is hosting the Asia Cup 2023, only four matches of the tournament have been organized there. A total of nine games including the final will be played in Sri Lanka. The high ticket price is said to be one of the main reasons why spectators cannot reach the stadium for the match between India and Pakistan.

Former Pakistan team captain Mohammad Hafeez wrote in his tweet along with the photo of the empty stands that such a reaction from fans to the India-Pakistan match had never been seen before. Hafeez also tagged the Asian Cricket Council in this tweet.

There have been numerous disruptions to the 2023 Asian Cup matches in Sri Lanka due to rain so far. After the India-Pakistan group game was canceled due to rain, now in the Super 4 duel between the two teams, the game will now be played on reserve day due to rain. Aside from the finale, ACC has decided to set aside a reserve day for this game only. When play was suspended, the Indian team had scored 147 runs in 24.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
