Pakistani cricketers keep comparing their players to Indians every day. Pakistan’s first captain, Babar Azam, has been compared to former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Now former Pakistani fast bowler Aaqib Javed has also started comparing Mohammad Rizwan-Rishabh Pant and Shaheen Afridi-Jasprit Bumrah.
In an interview with ARY News, Aaqib said: “Both Pant and Rizwan are goalkeepers and batsmen. Rizwan is better than Pant these days. There is no doubt that Rishabh Pant is a good player, but Rizwan takes more responsibility. They are far behind. behind on things Pant is often said to be an aggressive player, but aggression doesn’t mean going out after making a few big shots, it means staying in the crease, fighting back and finishing the game.
During the conversation, the former Pakistani cricketer compared Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah. He said, “Now I think Shaheen is better than Bumrah because by the time Shaheen entered the international circuit, Bumrah had already established himself. The critics used to say that Bumrah was doing well in the tests, T20 Internationals, but now Shaheen has shown that It’s even better. It has more potential than Bumrah.”
