Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo charged with sex offense

It is no longer a simple “media trial”. Former New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo was criminally indicted on Tuesday with a sexual offense. Fallen star of the Democratic Party, Cuomo is accused of having “forcibly touched” the chest of a collaborator in her residence in Albany.

This is a “misdemeanor” (a misdemeanor) and not a “felony” (crime). Andrew Cuomo could face criminal justice. This class A offense is punishable by a maximum of one year in prison. Cuomo is accused of having “forcibly placed his hand under the victim’s blouse and on her left breast, in order to satisfy her sexual desire”.

Andrew Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by 11 women. After having braced himself for a long time, assuring that he had never touched an assistant or collaborator in an “inappropriate” way, he ended up resigning in August. His former assistant, Kathy Hochul, is acting, pending the election on November 8, 2022.
